THE GOSPEL IS THE GOOD NEWS OF GREAT JOY FOR ALL PEOPLE.

We believe God has good news to tell us, and this good news is right at the heart of who we are as a church. The good news (we sometimes use the word ‘gospel’) is that Jesus Christ has done everything necessary so that we can be adopted into the family of God. It is a simple message, but the more we listen to Jesus and get to know him, the more he compels us with a beauty and love and joy that surpasses anything we find elsewhere.

Why is this such good news? Because every one of us was made for relationship. Yet even within our best relationships there is guilt, pain, and brokenness. Jesus shows us the root cause of that brokenness, and by his death and resurrection brings pardon and healing and reconciliation, so that we gain the relationship we were made to enjoy: God as our Father. This relationship opens up all the goodness, truth and beauty we have always desired.
